This stuff works best on brand new skis or skis with dried out, bases. You can actually see the oil in Wend's Liquid Hot Box absorb into the skis if you leave them base up. Oil will appear completely absorbed in areas where the product goes the deepest. If the base of your skis or snowboard is burned, Liquid Hot Box will not absorb and the base will appear glossy.
